Statement
My work in representational oil painting distills my daily experience into objects and icons. My frequent subjects include stuffed animals, food and beverage, private interior spaces, and characters and symbols from TV and the internet, all of which are vehicles for the portrayal of myself and my relationships. Through these paintings I aim to find softness and respite amidst the isolation of product consumerism and digital media.
